If you like to sing all types of folk songs, come give the Song Circle a try. The July Song Circle will be held Wednesday, July 1st, 7-9 PM at the home of Tim & Barbara. Their phone number is 895-2083. For more information call Jerry Wood at 461-3786.
Yes, it is an odd year, and yes, the "Odd camp in Odd years" returns to Camp White Branch up the McKensize River for the weekend of JULY 24-26 for hot dancing and good times. It&rsquot;s the perfect chance to catch your favorite dance buddies during the long summer break. Calling the Contra Dances will be Seth Tepfer from Atlanta, known for his blend of excitement, creativity, and wicked good fun. Our band will be the Past, Present, and Future NETTLES, an expanded lineup with 6 great musicians — Laura Brophy, Kevin Johnsrude, Michael Procter, and John Light, plus Todd Silverstein and Rick Rubin. Expect some amazing music with a wide range of rhythms coming at you.
The sign up flier with many more details can be found on a separate page. Signups begin now. Register before May 1st to have the best chance to get into this unique weekend camp. Besides Contra Dancing there are lots of other dance parties and lessons, sports activities, zany dress up contests, camper-led games, and of course - the big ole swimming pool. Ask anyone who attended Midsummer Madness in 2007 or 2005, this camp is not one to miss. (You can also check out some photos from Midsummer Madness 2005.)

Like with many organizations we could not function
without our amazing and gracious volunteers.
A big thanks to those that stepped up to the plate last year!
If you can volunteer, please contact Patricia Donahue: 686-6117
This is the most urgent area that EFS is in need of volunteers:
We're looking for some dance openers
(dance openers for that evening get into the dance for free)
and we're hoping that you check out your schedule
and see what date would work for you to help open the dance.
Just a reminder,
there is a house manager in charge,
so if you have any questions or something comes up
you can refer to that person.
Cool isn't it?
Please feel free to call Patricia at 686-6117 or email me if you you're interested.
Once again we couldn't do it without you and your help does make a difference!
If being a dance opener isn't your thing, perhaps there is another job you
would like to do? Here are some other ways you can volunteer:
Thanks in advance for stepping up!
