A word on these course sites: these are all courses in Western Art History, from Art Appreciation to Surveys to more advanced courses on the upper division level in two parts: third year advanced surveys and fourth year specialized courses. I have taught most of these, at various locations, from community colleges to state universities to private (so-called) liberal arts colleges. The different versions of the same course, which you will see especially in the surveys, were done a different colleges, usually shaped a bit differently for each target student group.
While these were eventually organized as formal college or university courses, my original idea was to create a sort of teach-yourself, at-your-own-pace online Western Art History education for whoever was interested. The courses are not complete in themselves; I don't have the time to do the writing and organizing involved, but with the careful use of a text these courses do, I hope, provide an intense outline at least of what you need to know for each subject.
