ON THE QUIZZES

You will have three lovely quizzes in which to display your knowledge of the course material in a concise manner. The first quiz consisted of at one slide comparison, and two single slides with questions.

WEEK SEVEN: Nov. 7 The second quiz will consist of two slide comparison pairs.

WEEK NINE: Nov. 21 The last quiz will consist of two slide comparisons.

PLEASE NOTE THAT FROM NOW ON ALL EXAMS MUST BE WRITTEN IN INK, NOT PENCIL.



ON THE MIDTERM


   Queen Nefertiti, New Kingdom, Egypt
The Midterm will be given October 24 in class. It will cover all works listed with a (*) on the monuments list, the readings, and the lectures, through the all monuments for Minoan Art for section 1 (morning) and through the Toreador fresco for section 2 (afternoon). Here are the details:
  1. Five Slide Comparisons, worth 10 points each. Each comparison will be shown for 7 minutes.
  2. Six Questions with Slides, worth five points each. Each will be shown for five minutes.
  3. Five Slide identifications, worth four points each. Each will be shown for two minutes.

Please make sure to arrive promptly for the exam. No re-showings of slides will be made for those who are late.

Please also note that NO EXCUSES will be accepted for missing the Midterm, with the exception of documented severe illness or injury. I will decide what is an acceptable excuse and acceptable documentation. If you miss the Midterm, you will receive a 0 and will have thus failed the course.
