ANASZI HERITAGE CENTER 2010




"Applications are now being accepted for Summer 2010 Internships at the BLM-Anasazi Heritage 
Center. Three internships are available in Curation, Visitor's Services and Exhibits. The deadline 
for applying [was] Feb. 26, 2010. The application process is a bit different then in years past. The 
internships are now sponsored by the National Council for Preservation Education (NCPE). The application,

and summer. Interns selected to participate in the program gain practical experience, marketable skills
and a broad exposure to museum work. Internships are potentially available within the curatorial, development/membership, 
education, marketing, registration and visitor services departments. Interns participate in the
ongoing work of the department to which they are assigned and will be expected to complete a project or some 
portion of a major project. Individual responsibilities are determined by the educational background and work 
experience of the intern, as well as the needs of the department. Interns are not paid; however, they can receive

"he National Electronics Museum offers spring, summer, and fall internships in collections management and

INSTITUTE FOR LEARNING INNOVATION




The Institute for Learning Innovation, an Annapolis, MD-based non-profit, offers internships and fellowships 
three times per year: spring, summer, and fall.  The Institute is a non-profit organization that describes, 
assesses and advances learning both in free-choice settings and in the formal educational system.

JEWISH MUSEUM OF MARYLAND




They seem to offer internships every summer: "JMM summer internships are full time
for ten weeks and include a modest stipend." Check the Web site.




MONTGOMERY COUNTY (MD) HISTORICAL SOCIETY ARCHIVES INTERNSHIP




Immensely long announcement--contact them for details. Basics: conduct an inventory of material in the (MCHS) 
library and archives related to the development of suburban Montgomery County...TO APPLY: Send or e-mail a cover 
letter and detailed resume to the address below. Please include the names and contact information for three 
references familiar with your work. Candidates for this position should have a strong interest and background
in 20th century American history and/or some experience working in a research library setting. Upper level

"The Hingham Historical Society, Hingham, Massachusetts, seeks a museum studies student or recent 
graduate to fill the Sally Hess Memorial Internship for the Summer of 2010. Applicants for the 
internship will have the opportunity to assist with curatorial and collections management projects 
in the Old Ordinary House Museum...The Sally Hess Memorial Internship is a one semester 200-hour 
curatorial internship granted with a stipend of $1,500 to students or recent graduates interested 
in the field of museum studies or public history...The Society is looking for mature students or 
recent graduates in Museum Studies, Public History, History, or Art History who are energetic,
organized, dedicated and sensitive to both the needs of our audiences and the collections we are 
committed to preserve. The Sally Hess Memorial Internship will provide interns with practical museum

The Minneapolis Institute of Arts offers many volunteer internships for individuals considering 
or pursuing careers in museum work.  All candidates with skills, interests, or experiences relevant to 
museum work are eligible. Internships may range from one to twelve months in length, with a minimum time 
commitment of twenty hours  per week expected. Intern positions are typically project-oriented within a 
specific department...Candidates may consider internships in several areas of the museum, including the 
Curatorial, Education, Marketing and Communications, and Development Divisions. Interns are placed
