DOIN' IT WITH HIGH FREQUENCY: Angelo Moore/Fishbone

	It was a chilly April evening at Duke University in North Carolina. The
show finally got cranking, and those kids didn't know what was hitting 'em
- Fishbone's wonderwall of words and wails, including Angelo Moore's
customized Series 91 theremin. Big Briar was there (Gail, that is) to hang
out with Angelo and talk theremins.
	[After the show that night, Angelo's wife, Suzie, gave birth to their
first child, Cheyenne Star Forever Moore. When I asked Suzie about the
baby's name she said, "Her daddy named her. You know how Ange is with
words...it's not just a name, it's a whole sentence.]
	Later, I asked Angelo for his answer to the question, "What do you do with
a theremin?" He gave me not just an answer, but a whole poem:


I like playing the theremin because it gives me the MADD VIBE in a new
musical horizon
it's all about what you feel, not touch
it's like a fretless Gothic Viola from sci-fi outerspace
that pulls me away from the kaos of a Naggin wife
and sweet little pudgy baby,
into a highly focused, UN-limited Frankenstein Hokus pokus
Musical X-tra ordinary Magnitude that is out of the World
and oh so krazy too, it'll drive you krazy too if you let it
and BOY am i glad to be crazy
SO...if you're lookin for a way to get away
If you're looking for a means of escape
from the pains that drive you ape
If you're in search of the key that the Universe sings to
There is no cause to BOO BOO any longer
For the Theremin is the sure shot way to tune out all the BOO BOO
all around and inside of you
Whatever key you need to be in
it will be the right key you need to open up the grand music box of the
universe.
