Web Page Design

I've learned my HTML skills mainly by dissecting other's home pages. I've read several HTML primers and manuals. But things are changing so fast that by the time someone puts what they've learned into a coherent form, it is already obsolete or superseded.
I think my strong points are my visual background and educated aesthetic. I've tried out all the gaudy eye-catching gimmicks like background fade-ups, blinking text, and cycled graphics, or Hot Java. But all these toys are wasted if there is no valid message being communicated, no real point of view.
If you truly have something to say, I want to help you say it on the world wide web.
If all you want to do is text and pictures, you can cram a decent sized novel into half a meg of space.
If you're like me and believe the only way to get what you want is to do it yourself, then I'll tell you: All the tricks of the trade can be found linked to Bob Allison's Web Master's Page. (Unfortunately he has neglected his site and the server pulled him off.) But if you don't have the time or inclination to learn a new language, or you don't really know what you want and need someone to bounce ideas off of, I can help you.

Sincerely, Erich Boekelheide
