If you stay on the line between 8:30 and 2pm, seven days a week, you can ask for information on the other 80-100 rivers they data on. If itÕs flooding, though, they may not have time to answer the phone. I called and talked to the voice on the recording, Clint Stiger. Clint encourages everyone to stop out for a tour of their facility, on East Marine Drive near the airport in Portland, opposite Brighton Beach. He said about 30 of their gauges relay information by phone, 40-50 are by personal observation, with the remainder telemetered by satellite or VHF radio. With the proper receiver, anyone can get the satellite data.
