- HIKING TRAILS AND WILDFLOWERS by Keith and Barbro McCree -

In 2000 we were using a PowerMac G4 with a 30 x 23 cm. Apple Studio Display (high-resolution digital LCD). The monitor settings were: 1024 x 768 pixels (33 pixels/cm., 84 dpi), millions of colors, gamma = 1.4, white point = 5000°K (the color of white paper in sunlight). With these settings, photographs show with normal contrast and warm tones.
In the background is a Macintosh Quadra, purchased in 1993 and still being used for word processing.

In 2009 we upgraded to an iMac with a 43 x 27 cm. display (left). The monitor is set to 1344 x 840 pixels (31 pixels/cm., 79 dpi), with gamma = 1.8 and color settings similar to the Apple Studio Display. Now our PowerMac G4 is being used for word processing (right).
