You have to crouch down to enter the narrow tunnel, but after a while it widens out and you can stand up again. You find yourself in a little chamber, illuminated by the ever-present glowing moss.

    SOFTWARE

Here are the programs I use for my everyday (and not so everyday) needs.

  • For system management and protection, I use Norton Utilities and McAfee Anti-Virus.

  • WinZip handles most of my archives; for the rest, I use Arjfolder, which is freeware.

  • Lots of people may prefer Microsoft Word, but I've gotten used to Word Perfect. Starting with WP 5.1 for DOS, I now run WP 8 (by Corel) at home and in the office.

  • I've tried CuteFTP, but I prefer LeechFTP. It looks great, it's easy to use, and it's free.

  • What did we ever do before ICQ?

    OTHER LINKS

  • I'm an uncle! Pictures of my niece Jancee are posted fairly regularly at this page.

  • A dear friend and fellow gamer also has her home page on this site. (Yes, I'm responsible for some of the quotes.)

  • Warehouse 23 is chock-full of Things Man Was Not Meant to Know.

  • Building a Universe (for fun or profit)? Consult these resources: 3-D Starmaps and Alien Planet Designer.

  • My favorite author is Diane Duane. She and her husband have a page here.

  • Some all-but-forgotten shows of my teen years: Battlestar Galactica and Tales of the Gold Monkey.

  • Yesterdayland is pure nostalgia.

You try every link, hoping to find something to hold your interest. But boredom overwhelms you, and as you fall asleep, you realize that this truly was a Waste of Time.
