Quadrilaterals
Quadrilaterals have four sides but can be many different shapes. Below are some examples of quadrilaterals.
Trapezoid:
A trapezoid has only one pair of parallel sides.
Square:
A square has two pairs of parallel sides, all sides are congruent, and all angles are 90 degrees.
Parallelogram:
A parallelogram has two pairs of congruent parallel sides and two pairs of congruent angles.
Rectangle:
A rectangle has two pairs of congruent parallel sides and four 90 degree angles.
Rhombus:
A rhombus has four congruent sides and is sometimes called a "squished square."
