The "Prussian Time" in Lingen to which the above caption applies extended
from the death of Wilhelm III (Prince of Orange, Statthalter of the
Netherlands, King of England and Scotland, and Landesherr of Lingen)
and the subsequent coronation of Friederich I in 1702 until the period of
French administration in 1806 (Grand Duchy of Berg).
Although the notations on the map are illegible, nevertheless, 2 areas of
significance were shown:
1. Der Wulwer Esch and
2. Danckelmanns Kamp,
both of which had been mentioned in the contract of 1835.
Since Wessling's Neubauerei was not established until circa
1819, one can easily determine how the area surrounding the Neubauerei
appeared before 1819.
