NOTES:

This page and those linked to it are being included because 2 of the children immigrated to America and settled in Boston, Massachusetts. At the time of their arrival there were several Wesslings from Lingen living there; but, it cannot be determined if there was a family connection on account of the problem of continuity with the LIngen documents. However, a reference in the 1728 marriage record indicated that the groom was from Estringen.

1. Maria Engelina inherited the Wessling family's property in Estringen and her husband took the Wessling surname.

2. All of the children were born in Estringen and baptized in Lingen.

3. He become the Colon.
He marrried Anna Margaretha Theresa Silies who had been born on September 17, 1859 in Dalum. At the time of her marriage she may have been from Nordlohne.
He died on January 16, 1901 in Estringen and she died on July 24, 1929 in Estringen.

4. According to the naturalization records his arrival date in Boston, Massachusetts was June 17, 1879.

5. Interestingly, several of the baptismal sponsors for his children were named Honekamp.
