Our Sefer Torah is here
Now we need your help to keep it open

The Halachic Minyan is the only Jewish alternative to Reconstructionism for thousands of Jews living in Eugene Oregon.

Rabbi Efraim Davidson pours the first shovel of cement for the first Mikva ever in Eugene, Oregon. Yermiyah Katz of New York, The Rav Machshir, looks on.

A huge crowd of Eugene Jewry gathers at the Halachic Minyan to celebrate the Hachnasat Safer Torah. The Torah was brought out of Eastern Europe after 50 years in "storage" and was donated to the minyan by a generous New York family. Here, Rabbi Efraim Davidson dances with Eugene mayor Jim Torry.

Home of the Halachic Minyan. The Minyan rents this building from a private non-denominational preschool. When we are able to purchase the entire property, the buildings will serve as the home for the shul, a full service Mikva, a day school and adult education center.

Dear Friend

Three years ago my family and I came to Eugene from Jerusalem. We made the move because we saw wonderful people who were thirsting for traditional Judaism. As you have seen, amazing things have happened. Thank G_d the community has flourished. They have grown beyond the ability to support themselves. The families contribute significantly but can not yet bear the full burden alone. In a few years the community will be self sufficient. But to continue on in the meantime, they need your help.

The Orthodox Union has allowed us to use this space even though they don't fund raise for their member shuls. The Eugene Minyan - more a Kiruv outpost then a shul - Urgently needs your contribution now to keep going. Won't you please help out these wonderful families by sending a donation. May you be blessed with a k'tiron v'chatimah Torah for a year of health and all Torah blessings.
