Biography
Anne Sheridan, Designer—
Advocate for Animals and Children
In 1987 Anne had a vision. Sheridan recalls,
"I could never have imagined all the twists and turns my life would
take before the introduction of my Wild Animal Plush Toy Pet Beds.™"
In 1996 she changed her career path from a dynamic aerospace career to
devote full time designing soft warm animal cuddlies. The ensuing years
have been a profound learning period. Anne once wrote, "Every
aspect of life is a gift and my experiences deepen in meaning ultimately
leading my designs into uncharted territory. My hope is that each wild
animal piece touches a cord for people, children, and the pets they
love."
For most of the years since beginning this project Anne has been a
one-woman show. She lived and worked in a 575 square foot cottage. She
gave away all non-essentials and replaced them with file cabinets, a
desk, computer, printer and innumerable plastic boxes stacked nearly to
the ceiling—each containing designs and pre-production prototype pet
beds.
Before anyone else had, Anne discovered the need for emotional support
for weaned cubs, pups, kittens, and puppies. To fulfill this need, Anne
began designing contact comfort using a soft surface where warm
fur-to-fur contours lay the groundwork for great tenderness as their
surrogate mother. Today, Anne designs for remarkable animals like wild
cubs, pups and pets.
Anne realized plush toys have a significant emotional impact on children
and occupy an unforgettable place in womens lives. With great enthusiasm
Anne has taken her Wild Animal Plush Toy Pet Beds™ to a large number
of markets including wild animal theme parks and links to the global
arena.
Wild Animal Plush Toy Pet Beds™ which are destine to change the way
your pet sleeps, come with their very own web site—www.epetbeds.com.
Since 1989 Anne and her cats, Francis, Shelley and little Frances have
tested a variety of designs. As my cats bonded emotionally—each piece
became their surrogate parent.
In Francis' memory, Anne dedicates her work. Anne, Shelley and little
Frances reside in Eugene, Oregon. Anne may be reached by phone at (541)461-9383.
PS: Anne gives plush toys at Christmas to — Sacred Heart Hospital &

A personal note from Anne,
My commitment is to produce heirloom quality pieces
where paws, eyes, and artistic sensitivity are the tools most necessary
for our Wild & Endangered Plush Art.
I design knowing the pleasure of COMFORT. Each masterpiece is simple,
unique, a designer collectible that takes their place among the objects
we hold priceless from generation to generation.
When I design
a wild animal pet bed I want to find the meaning of an emotion in every
detail. It is then that it becomes a true friend and fun playmate.
Knowing the pleasure of comfort...animals may never look at sleep the
same way again. You need to own one to understand.
Each wild animal pet bed is designed to reveal that animal's
vulnerability and tenderness. I feel each piece will be among the things
you hold priceless from generation to generation.
I photograph almost exclusively abused and abandoned cats and dogs and
endangered cubs. As you can see Wild Animal Plush Toy Pet Beds provide
fur to fur contact and gentle contours which lay the groundwork for
great tenderness as a surrogate mother and greatly reduces separation
anxiety for pets, children, and adults!
Through the years, I encouraged and supported studies how to nurture
endangered cubs once they are weaned from their mother. I am currently
supporting the Center
for Endangered Cats and Wildlife Safari in their endeavors with wild
and endangered animals.
I hope you find the amazing scientific benefits and designs to be of
personal interest. Please contact us for any additional information you
may need. Many thanks for all you do to help animals everyday.
