PlusRoamer II

Welcome to PlusRoamer II, your free web based email account. You will find that PlusRoamer II contains all of the features of your basic email program, plus much much more! You can retrieve your email from any computer, any time, from any place in the world without the frustration and hassle of setting up your POP account or configuring your software to access your ISP account.  All you need is your username and password. 

But PlusRoamer II is far more powerful than any email program, web-based or not! You can create communities, setup autoresponders, and use any of several built in email aliases with a few clicks of your mouse!!  The best part is, even with all of the power and versatility of PlusRoamer II, you will find it very easy to use.  So, let’s get started!

Getting Started
The first step is to register your PlusRoamer II account. To do this, go to http://yourdomain.com/plusroamer/register.mv and click on the Free Email link. You will be taken step by step through the quick and simple process of registering your account.  You will need to select a username. This is the name that will be used in your email address,  (username@yourdomain.com)  so keep this in mind when selecting your username. 
Once you have finished registering, you will receive a confirmation email from PlusRoamer containing your username, password, and the return email addresses you may use with your PlusRoamer II account.

Log-In
Once you have registered your PlusRoamer II account you will need to go to the PlusRoamer II Login web page to log in.. The URL for this is http://yourdomain.com/plusroamer/roamer.mv   You may wish to write this down and bookmark it in your browser.  

  • Enter your username only in the Username entry field...not your email address.
  • Enter your password in the Password entry field. Type carefully.
  • Passwords and usernames are case sensitive
If you forget your password, you may have it emailed to you by entering your email address in the area provided on the login screen. Please note…you must enter your "regular" email address here.  The one you entered as your email address when registering your PlusRoamer II account.

Main In Box
Once you log-in to your account, you will be taken to your  Main Inbox. The menu panel at the far left of your screen will remain available at all times while you are logged in so that you can navigate from one function to another within your account quickly and easily.

The emails currently being stored in your Main Inbox will be displayed for you.  This is where all new emails received will be stored by default. 

Status 
This column will display any special status that has been applied to an email sent to you such as "Urgent" or "Important".

Action
This column will display a small icon next to new, unread emails.  Once the email has been read, a checkbox will appear next to it.  You may then select an Action from the drop down menu on the screen next to the Transfer To button, then check the boxes for the email(s) you wish that Action applied to.

From 
This column displays the name of the sender. This will also be a hyperlink that, when click on, will display the email for you to read.

Date
This will display the date the email was sent to you.

Size
This will display the size of the email in kilobytes.

Subject
This column displays the email Subject as entered by the sender.

Transfer To
1. Use the check box in the Action column to select the emails you wish to transfer.
2. Select the destination you wish to transfer your email to from the drop down menu.
3. Click on the Transfer To button.

Add Bookmark
You may create bookmarks that will be displayed in as hyperlinks on your screen.  Once a bookmark has been created, an Edit Bookmarks option will be displayed as well.  To visit a bookmark you have created, simply click on the title as you would any hyperlink.

Mail Boxes
Select this link from the menu bar to see a folder view of your account.  Your account is setup with a Main Folder which contains your Main In Box, Outbox, Responder Log and Trash.  You may create as many new folders and mail boxes within the Main Folder as you like. 
  • Click on the folder icon to open a folder
  • Click on the mail box name to open the mailbox
New 
This column tells you how many new, unread letters are contained in a mailbox.

Total 
This column gives you the total number of emails within the mailbox.

New Message
Select this link from the menu bar to write a new message.
TO
This is who the email will go to.  Clicking on the word To will bring up your Contact List and allow you to select a name and address to be entered for you.  Or, you may simply type the email address into the field.

CC
Enter the email address of anyone you wish to send a "carbon copy" of your email to.  Clicking on the word CC will bring up your Contact List so that you may select an address to be entered for you. Or, you may simply type the email address into the field.

BCC
This field is for sending a "blind carbon copy".  This means that the original recipient will not be aware that you have sent a carbon copy of the email to someone else.   Clicking on the word BCC will bring up your Contact List so that you may select an address to be entered for you. Or, you may simply type the email address into the field.

From
This is your email address...the one you want your recipient to use to reply to you. You have several email aliases provided with your PlusRoamer II account. Just select one from the pop-up menu.  All email addressed to any of the available aliases will be directed to your PlusRoamer II account.

Subject
Enter the subject of your email here.

Message
Enter the body of your email here.

Send It
Click this button to send your email.

Save In Out Box
Check this box before sending your email if you wish to save a copy of it in your Out Box.

Attach Document 
If you wish to attach a file to your email click on this link. This will launch an Upload Form. This will allow you to select a file on your local computer to upload and attach to the email.
File Type
Select the file type you wish to upload from the pop up menu. Your choices include several universal file format types.
Browse
After selecting your file type, click on the Browse button to browse the files on your local computer for the file you wish to upload.
Upload
Once you've selected the file you wish to upload, click on the Upload button.  Please wait until you receive the notice in the Upload Form that your upload is complete before continuing.  When the upload is complete, click on the Close Window link. 
You may now send your email with the attached file. Note: the file you upload will not be displayed or saved in your PlusRoamer II account once the email is sent. If you wish to attach the same file to another email, you will need to upload it again in the same manner as described above.

Contact List
This is your PlusRoamer II email address book.  It is extremely flexible and interactive with other functions of your PlusRoamer II account.  Once you have entered an email address here, you can send an email to it, CC or BCC with only a couple of mouse clicks. 
Individuals
This section of your Contact List is for listing the email addresses of individuals. 
Create
Click on the Create link to enter a new contact to your list. 
  • Nickname  Enter the individual's name here.  For example Joe or Joe Smith
  • Email Address  Enter the individual's exact email address here. 
  • Add to Contact List   Click this button to add the new contact and return to your Contact List.

Edit
Click on the Nickname in this column to edit the contact's name or email address.

Mail To
Click on the email address in this column to bring up a New Message screen.

Delete
Click on the Delete link in this column to delete a contact from your list.

Groups
This section of your Contact List is for group contacts. This may be special interest groups, clubs or businesses. Give your Group a Nickname, and then list all of the members of a Group, along with their individual email addresses. You may then send one email  to all members of the group at once by clicking on the TO link in a New Message, and selecting the Group from your contact list.  You may also send a CC or BCC to a selected Group.
Create
Click on the Create link to enter a new contact Group to your list. 
  • Nickname  Enter a name for your Group.
  • Add Email Addresses  Enter the email addresses for the individual members of your Group here, one email address per line.
  • Add to Contact List   Click this button to add the new Group and return to your Contact List.
Edit
Click on the Nickname in this column to edit the Group's name or email addresses of the members.

Mail To
Click on the email address in this column to bring up a New Message screen.

Delete
Click on the Delete link in this column to delete a Group from your contact list.
